TikTok responded to the ban by the government of India

 

TikTok's response to the ban is 'Not Shared Any Info with Chinese Govt' 

TikTok the short video making app responded to the ban on the application in India. TikTok is among the 59 applications from China are banned in India by the government. 

The applications from China were banned on 30th June 2020 Tuesday, TikTok as been taken down from the Google play store however it is still available on the Apple AppStore. TikTok has been invited to meet stakeholders and officials to have a clarification opportunity but it has not been officially announced. 

 

TikTok says they have been following the data privacy and security requirements and have not shared the information of the TikTok users to any other government preciously China. 

 

The Chinese app’s developer, ByteDance, in response to that ban, told Reuters that it is committing a dedicated team of 2,000 people in India to tackle the user security issues and is ready to show “commitment towards India overall.”
