Saiee Manjrekar In 'Major': actress made her debut with 'Dabangg 3'
Saiee Manjrekar, who made his Bollywood debut as an actress in Salman Khan's Dabangg 3, will now be seen in a film inspired by the life of martyr NSG commando Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Saiee is the daughter of Mahesh Manjrekar, a well-known actor-director of Hindi and Marathi cinema.
The film is titled 'Major'. Adivi Sesh will be seen in the role of Major Unnikrishnan. 'Major' is a bilingual film, being produced in Hindi and Telugu. Saiee will begin shooting for the film in Hyderabad next month. Talking about her character, Saiee said, "for me, the impact of my role on the script of the film and the whole story is more important. When you analyze a character deeply, there are many beautiful emotions in it, which can be promoted as an actress. 'Major', when I got the offer, I saw it and immediately said yes.''
Saiee said that she is ready to do films in South India and the film is being produced in two languages. I am waiting for the shooting to begin. According to sources related to 'Major', 50 percent shooting of Major has been completed. Shobhita Dhulipala will also be seen in an important role.
Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, NSG commando, was martyred in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. Shashi Kiran, director of the film, said about it- "When this incident happened, none of us were there." We all know what was shown in the news at that time. The biggest challenge is to fill the colors of reality with what we will show through our imagination. It is more challenging to show it as a feature film rather than a documentary film.
'Major' is being produced by Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's company GMB Entertainment, Sony Pictures, and A Plus S Movies. The film will be released in the summer next year.
