Akshay Kumar is the only Indian in Forbes 2020 list of highest paid celebs; made its place with estimated earnings of $ 48.5 million.
Bollywood superstar-Akshay Kumar has once again made his place in Forbes' list of 100 highest-grossing celebs with an estimated earnings of $ 48.5 million. The actor also ranked in the list last year.
Forbes has characterized Akshay as "Bollywood's Highest-Grossing Star" and "One of India's most Philanthropic Celebrities".
Akshay is ranked 52nd ahead of Hollywood stars like Will Smith (at number 69) and Angelina Jolie (99).
Talking about Akshay Kumar, Forbes further wrote, "A bankable film star, he is set to earn up to $ 13 million from his upcoming films like 'Bachchan Pandey' and 'Bell Bottom'".
Here Akshay Kumar shared, "I just wanted to earn 1 crore rupees. But I am a human being, and when I earned my first one crore I thought why I cannot make 100 crores. To tell the truth, there was no stopping me."
Forbes cited the digital debut series 'The End' in collaboration with Akshay's big streaming company Amazon Prime Video as one of the reasons for its inclusion in this year's highest-grossing celebrity list.
The superstar gave four back-to-back hits last year, including 'Kesari', 'Mission Mangal', 'Housefull 4' and 'Good News'. Akshay's upcoming films include 'Laxmmi Bomb', 'Suryavanshi', 'Prithviraj' and 'Atrangi Re'.
