'Mulan' releases on OTT instead of cinemas
The live-action film remake 'Mulan' is also being released on the OTT platform rather than in theaters, but viewers will have to pay a price to watch it. According to Variety.com's report, 'Mulan' will be released on Disney Plus Hotstar, which has more than 6.05 million paying subscriptions.
After several late delays in its theatrical release date, Disney CEO Bob Chapek said that 'Mulan', releasing on September 4, could be seen on the platform with premium access. It will have to pay $ 29.99 (Rs 2,244.67) in select markets including the US.
That is, in addition to being a subscription, to see 'Mulan', this additional cost will have to be paid.
The film will be released in theaters in markets where the streaming platform is not available.
New Zealand filmmaker Nikki Karo's film 'Mulan' is about a fearless Chinese girl who disguises a male warrior to save her father.
