A new study has found that the antivirus drug 'RemedySiver' reduces the amount of viruses in Baboons infected with SARS-COV-2 and does not allow them to get lung disease. The study, published in the journal Nature on Tuesday, states that giving this medicine to patients with Coronavirus early does not cause pneumonia.

Researchers at the US National Institutes of Health found that the scope of the remedieserver was quite wide and proved to be very effective in preventing infection with SARS-COV and Merc-COV in animals. He informed that the drug is being tested in Coronavirus infected patients.

Researcher-Amy de Witt and her colleagues studied the effects of the remedieserver on an older species of baboons and found that the baboons given this drug did not have symptoms of respiratory disease and also caused less damage to their lungs. Researchers said that the use of this drug early in Coronavirus-infected patients could make the treatment effective.
